Shooting Suspect On Run In Hudson Valley

Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating a shooting that left a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg that required a tourniquet for bleeding.

The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 11:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, on Talmadge Street in the city of Poughkeepsie.

Arriving officers found the 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers immediately placed a tourniquet on his leg, and he was transported to a hospital in the area for treatment, the City of Poughkeepsie Police said.

Detectives and crime scene technicians responded to the scene to investigate, and a Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to assist.
